Wintouch Lite grants employees who are disconnected from the Internet or company Intranet access to a definable number of accounts in Wintouch. These accounts are selected using Group Definition. The Accounts or Contacts in Wintouch Lite must be downloaded to the local computer which will be disconnected from the Internet or Intranet for Wintouch Lite to function correctly. Wintouch Lite is a limited version of Wintouch and allows you to display all Accounts or Contacts which were selected by the criteria in your Group. In Wintouch Lite you can schedule, complete, and view activities through the Activity Log, Account and Contact Summaries, and Extended Profiles. You can also create and edit extended profile items. Wintouch Lite does not allow you delete extended profile items.
Note: The Help Buttons are not active while you are in Wintouch Lite mode because you are disconnected from the online help
The selection options below can be located by selecting Options from the Main Desktop menu, and then Wintouch Lite from the drop-down menu. A fly out menu will open displaying all the below options.
Create Wintouch Lite Database: When you click on Create Wintouch Lite Database, the Wintouch Lite Download Properties Window will open. Here you will select the group conditions that will be used to create your Wintouch Lite Database.
Synchronize and Continue Using Wintouch Lite: Synchronization brings both Wintouch Lite and Wintouch information up to date. You must have an internet connection to do this
- If you have scheduled or completed activities in Wintouch Lite, then these activities will be uploaded to Wintouch.
- If activities have been scheduled or completed that are relevant to the group you chose when you created Wintouch Lite, then these relevant activities will be added to the Wintouch Lite database.
- If account or contact information has been updated in Wintouch, then these changes will be made to relevant accounts or contacts in Wintouch Lite.
Switch to Using Wintouch Lite: If there is currently a Wintouch Lite database on your computer, you may switch to Wintouch Lite mode without updating Wintouch or Wintouch Lite.
Switch to Using Wintouch: If you have Internet access, this option allows you to switch from Wintouch Lite mode to Wintouch Mode.
- This option does not delete the Wintouch Lite folder.
- All the changes that are made while you are in Wintouch Lite will be synchronized with the server and any changes that were made in Wintouch will be synchronized with the Wintouch Lite Database.
Remove Wintouch Lite Database: Deletes the Wintouch Lite Folder and associated activities. Synchronize before removing Wintouch Lite if you want to retain the activities completed while in Wintouch Lite mode. When you select the "Remove Wintouch Lite Database" option a pop up asks you if you would like to continue.
Group: Allows you to choose which group to use when creating your Wintouch Lite Database. For help on creating a group, Click here
Account: Sends all accounts that meet the selected group criteria to your local database. Accounts that do not have contacts are also sent to the local database.
Contact: Contacts that meet the selected group criteria are sent to your local database.
Days of Activity History: This field defines, starting from the last completed activity, how many days of Completed Activity History will be present in your local database.
