Wintouch Settings Maintenance

This window will provide the Administrator with a way to delete or copy a customized Wintouch environment's settings. You can access Wintouch Settings Maintenance by selecting Administrator from the Main Desktop menu , then Wintouch Settings Maintenance from the pull-down menu.

Check Boxes

Expand All: When this check box is checked the complete tree menu will be expanded revealing all the folders, sub folders, and items within the folders and sub folders.

Expand Target User after copying/moving: When this check box is checked the target user location will expand when any customization is moved or copied.

Push Buttons

Refresh: This button will save any changes that were made by all the users and refresh the display.

Cancel: Press this button to exit the window without saving any changes or to close the window after the changes were saved by selecting refresh.

Help: Accesses the online help documentation.

Use Locations

In Wintouch Settings Maintenance there are 3 separate levels to which customization settings can be saved, Default , Location , and the User level.
  1. Default: The Default level is the base level for settings. These settings apply to all users unless there are location level or user level settings over riding them.
  2. Location: The Location level settings will apply to any user that is assigned to that user location in the User Profile, unless there are user level settings over riding them.
  3. User: The User level settings are only viewed by the user and they always over ride and location or default settings.

Categories

Windows Customizations

Toolbar: This includes the Email, Template Editor, and Letter Editor toolbars. In addition, the Main, Account, and Contact Desktop toolbars are stored here.

Preferences: The tabs in the Preferences are set individually here. Wintouch Options, Activity and Calendar Settings, Default Server Settings, Default Window Settings, Default Template Settings, and Search Window Settings tabs are all individually set.

Menubar: Account Summary Desktop, Contact Summary Desktop, Main Menubar.

Reports

Right Click Options

Copy To: This option allows the user to copy the selected settings to another user location.

Move To: This option allows the user to move the selected settings to another user location.

Rename: This option allows the user to rename Custom Reports, Templates, and Dashboards.

Delete: Selecting this option will delete the selected settings.

Delete from All Users: Selecting this option will delete the selected settings for all the users.
