Closing the Wintouch Applet Question

Problem:

  1. When I closed down Wintouch using the Close "X" in the upper most right corner, Wintouch brings up a confirmation dialog box.
  2. I select yes and the Wintouch window is removed, but an empty login window remains displayed and the Wintouch html launch Window also remains displayed. I have to manually close both these Windows.
  3. If I close the login Window and then double click the hyperlink in the launch Window without first closing the launch window, Wintouch redisplays the login window and enables me to login again. However, the Wintouch main window appears blue. I can select the toolbar menus, but nothing happens (i.e. no pull down menus).

Answer:

  1. You are using the Applet launch of Wintouch (as opposed to the Webstart version). The Applet launch opens three Internet Explorer Windows.
  2. When you close Wintouch in this case, only one window closes after you select yes. If you don't close the other two windows, Wintouch will launch incorrectly the next time you log in and the Wintouch Main Desktop will appear blue.
  3. NOTE: You may need to close all browser windows. Make sure you don't see the following java cup icon to the far right of your taskbar.
