Schedule Activities By Group

This window defines the details of an activity being scheduled for a Group of accounts and/or contacts. Although group activities are accessed differently than individual activities, they are scheduled and completed by Account , Account/Contact , and Contact levels, and function the same way as activities generated anywhere else. Group activities appear in the Activity Log, Account Summary and/or Contact Summary, and in the user's Daily Activities and Completed activities windows as do activities generated elsewhere. Group Activities can be accessed from the Main Desktop by selecting Activity in the main menu, then By Group from the drop-down menu, then Schedule or Complete from the sub-menu. After selecting Schedule or Complete , then choose either Account , Account/Contact , or Contact . This will open the Schedule or Completed Activities By Group window.

Fields

Group: Select this drop-down field to choose a pre-defined group of accounts and/or contacts for the scheduled activity. Once the group has been selected the window will change and you will have additional fields to complete.
Category: Tab to this field to enter a category for the scheduled group activity.
Type: Tab to this field to enter a Type of activity (Meeting, Correspondence, etc.) for the scheduled activity.
Date: Click on this push button to open the Calendar window and use the arrows to the day, month, and year. Click on the appropriate date in the calendar.
Note: The default date will be the current date.
Priority: Tab to this field to enter the priority level of the group activity being scheduled. Activate the list box and select a priority level to be entered in the Priority field.
Regarding: This field is activated when the Category is selected, and the choices in this field are determined by your Category selection. Tab to this field to enter a reference for the scheduled activity.
User: This field will default to the signed-on user's name. However, if the group activity is being scheduled for another user of the system, activate the list box arrow to select the user.
Created By: This view only field will reflect the name of the user who create's the group scheduled activity.
Notes: Tab to this field to enter freehand information related to the group scheduled activity. All notes will remain in the Notes field until manually deleted.

Push Buttons

OK: Saves the scheduled activity in the appropriate windows. The OK button will be disabled until all required fields are completed.
Cancel: This button exits the window without saving the new activity information.
Help: Displays online help for the active window.
