Merge With Another Account
Using this command, you can transfer account information including all associated contacts, extended profiles, and activities from the active account to any other opened account.
Note: In order for the feature to work you must have the Account Summaries of the involved accounts open. When the merge is completed the account from which the data was transferred will be automatically deleted and the Account Summary will close.
Merge Accounts (Example)
First make sure the Account Summary windows of both involved accounts is open.
- From the Account Summary menu-bar select Account, then Merge with Another Account from the drop-down menu.

- When the Merge with Another Account dialog appears you will have an account or a list of accounts to choose from dependent on how many accounts you had open. For our example we only had the two involved accounts open, so the list consists of only one account. Highlight the account you wish to transfer all contacts, extended profiles, and activities to, and select OK.

- When the Transfer Confirmation dialog appears select OK.

- The Processing dialog will appear indicating the transfer is in progress.

When the transfer is complete the Message dialog will appear. Select OK and the transfer is complete.

Note: When the merge is completed the account from which the data was transferred will be automatically deleted and the Account Summary will close.
