Import Data Tools
Saving and Using Templates
Saving a Template
- After Wintouch fields have been assigned to all the column headers as illustrated below, the resulting column assignment can be saved as a template for time saving forthcoming imports. The following steps will guide you through this time saving process.

- After the column headers have been assigned the desired Wintouch field assignments, select the Save Template button.

- After you select the Save Template button, the following Add dialog box will appear. Type in a template name of your choice and select the OK button.

- After you select the OK button, you will see the template name you chose populate the Import Template drop down field. Your template is now saved.

Using a Saved Template
The template that was previously saved uses the same MS Excel csv file that was used to make the template. This file is stored in a designated location of your choice. The template will maintain the previously imported information until you copy and replace the MS Excel csv File with a new MS Excel csv file. When you are prepared to import new data with the same column header information as the template, simply prepare your new file in MS Excel and give the finished Excel Sheet the duplicate name of the file that you used to generate the template, and save the new file in the same location so Windows copies and replaces the old csv file. After you have done this simply go into the Import Data Tools, select the Import Template drop down field, and select the template. The template will populate the Import Data Tools design pane with the newly generated data and the appropriate column headers.
