Work Flow Script Designer

The purpose of Workflow is to automate business processes. For example, a representative needs to call new customers. Workflow can be used to automatically schedule an activity for a CSR to follow up with the new customer when the Account Type is changed from Prospect to Customer.

The Wintouch WorkFlow Script Designer uses the IBM OS/400 database triggers. Start the Work Flow Script Designer by selecting Administration from the Main Desktop, then "Work Flow Script Designer" from the pull-down menu. Once the script has been created and saved, it will become active when a Work Flow trigger is activated.

Adding a Script

To add a new script, you must type in a name 20 characters or less in the field to the right of Script Name and then click on the Add button.

Editing a Script

Left Click on the script you would like to edit to open the Work Flow Script Designer.

Push Buttons

Add: When selected, this button adds a new script to the list of current scripts.

Delete: When selected this button will delete the highlighted script from the list.

Apply: When selected this button will save any newly added or edited scripts with the triggers defined in the scripts.

Close: This button closes the Work Flow Script Designer window. Select Apply prior to closing the window in order to save any changes made.

Help: This button displays online help in a new window.
